Why Cleaning Habits Are More Important Than Just Doing It – Cleaning And Decluttering

By Otto On July 18, 2011 Under Home Improvement

So you’ve looked around your house, and you’re not happy with what you see. You’ve decided to go on a crusade to liberate yourself from clutter. You’re feeling motivated, feeling strong, and looking forward to having a lovely clean home.

But then you go to get started, and you realize that it’s just too much. There’s no way you’ll finish it today. Even if you do finish it today, will you stick with it? We’ve all experienced this feeling of overwhelm. It’s the greatest killer of motivation in the world, beside guilt.

So what’s the answer? How can we get, and maintain, a beautiful home? I’m not Susie Homemaker. My house gets messy. In fact, I’ve only recently gotten to the point where I have a consistently clean home, and I’m in the process of finishing off some rooms that could still use help.

What this means to you is that there’s help and there’s hope. You can get the clean and orderly home that you desire, just like I have. How? Well, it’s simply, really. Note that I didn’t say it’ll necessarily be easy, but it will be simple.

What you’re going to do, is create new habits. Why are habits more important to housekeeping and cleaning than just getting up and actually doing the initial cleaning? Because life doesn’t stop the minute your kitchen gets clean. A few days from now, your kitchen will be dirty yet again. A few days from now, your living room will be knee deep in toys and tracked-in dirt.

That’s where habits come in, and how and why specific habits of cleaning will change your life. Because time marches on and waits for no one. Because in order to keep up with your family, you have to form habits that help you, rather than simply defaulting to habits that hurt you.

An easy example of a habit change: when you go into your kitchen to start making dinner, next time stay there. Be in the kitchen the whole time that you’re cooking. While the water boils for the noodles, put away some dishes or drop a few into the dishwasher.

Pet Dander is dead skin that is shed by a lot of pets including cats and dogs; the most well-liked choice of pets. Pet dander can cause an intense pet odor that can boost the possibility for allergies to be triggered. Some pet owners opt for bald or short hair breed pets but that does not abolish the possibilities of skin shedding.

Removal of pet scent can be achieved by using a sanitizer spray. The problem with a air purifier spray is that it can only make the room smell fresh for the short period, but the dander and the odor stays in the carpet. The only assured resolution to keeping your family healthy and rid of pet allergies is repeatedly vacuuming and carpet cleaning.

Carpets come in many shapes and sizes. There are Wall-to-wall carpets, carpet tiles, area rugs, scatter rugs, and carpet runners. Wall-to-wall carpets cover an entire floor of a room. Carpet tiles allow for easier replacement of sections as they are needed, like in traffic patterns where the carpet wears fastest but they should be professionally installed. Area rugs are a very popular way to add some style to any room. You can also move around an area rug. The only drawback to area rugs is that they shift around under high-traffic and their edges may cause you to trip. Smaller than area rugs, scatter rugs are mainly used to protect high-traffic areas, such as an entrance way or the kitchen sinks. Runners are laid in hallways. Professional carpet cleaners give you the perfect cleaning for all your carpets and rugs.

It does not matter if you have your home in the northwest cities such as Seattle or in the Southeast of Atlanta, having a pet still comes with household tasks. Removal of pet odor from carpets or upholstery is necessary in keeping your house smelling fresh and keeping your family free of general pet allergies. Carpet cleaning in Atlanta or anywhere else in the world is the best solution for dealing with pet odor removal
