Can It Be England In South Africa Lifting The Trophy?

By Otto On September 13, 2010 Under News and Society

This is the first ever World cup in African soil and Brazil, Spain and Argentina are the favourites for many of them. Spain and Brazil are definitely one fo the contenders but not sure about the others and don’t ever count the Germans out. Brazil and Spain have always been known for their passing and movements and the fast pitches in South Africa will definitely suit them. As soon as you play long ball you can see that the ball is skids through and there is no way anyone can catch it.

England have a passing game but the problem is they don’t have any belief in themselves and always panic in big tournaments. The problem England have is they get too defensive after they score a goal, there is no confidence in the team to go get another or just to keep the ball. No matter if it is Heskey or Crouch or Rooney or Defoe it will be hard to hold the ball against international defenders if England do play long ball. Teams playing long ball like Greece and England will not do very well in South Africa.

Argentine do not have the similar type of team from 1986 but they are still a very strong side. But Lionel Messi the genius in their side so anything is possible. He was a bit unlucky not to score in the first game because the Nigerian keeper has an outstanding game but Messi was by far the best player in the pitch. If Argentina can play like they did in 1986 then Messi can take the role of Maradona and they can definitely do well in this tournament. Who can tell what will happen?

I am a professional online poker player and for this World cup I have decided no poker only football and back England fully. I have won few full tilt poker and PKR poker tournaments in the past so I really should be addicted to poker but this month I am giving all this.
