These days, with all of fuel prices escalating rapidly, people are not exactly sure what to do. Specifically at present when diesel pricing is higher than regular gasoline. Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is known as a byproduct of petroleum production and this can be used to run diesel engine vehicles as well. LPG currently is the most affordable of all the petroleum products. LPG will be able to be easily used by setting up a conversion kit that converts the propane in LPG into fuel for your diesel vehicle. A fully biodegradable and renewable fuel, that is produced from a biomass that’s fermented, is ethanol. It burns cleanly and so it doesn’t give off greenhouse gases. You’ll find a fuel called E85 which is a blend of 15% gasoline and 85% alcohol. As compared to other alternative fuels, the price of E85 can be higher.
Another solution is electric cars but there are a number of issues. They don’t go very fast and the battery pack life is very short. Even though advancement in electric cars technology continues to be amazing, it hasn’t become very popular due to the high price tag. Any time people are usually not willing to go electric, at least buying a hybrid is the next best thing. They are a combination, having both a gasoline engine and an electric motor. They are higher priced than a typical car, but are really the best you are going to find for fuel mileage.
There are still some issues with many of the alternative fuels on the market. But attempts are continuing to improve and to make them more practical for the consumer market. In the future, all cars will be using fuel besides gasoline.
