Griffin’s other dunks were actually much better than his final dunk although he didn’t put on as a lot of a show.  And the dunks by McGee and DeMar DeRozan were furthermore quite extraordinary.  McGee had 2 unbelievably difficult dunks in the 1st round. He did a dunk on 2 separate baskets for one of his dunks and on the other one he dunked 3 basketballs.  DeRozan should have been in the final but Griffin was the hometown favorite and got more points than DeRozan in the 1st round.  DeRozan concluded up finishing 3rd while Serge Ibaka finished 4th. Ibaka’s dunks were additionally excellent but he didn’t genuinely get honored either, specifically for his dunk where he started from the foul line and dunked the ball.  He got just 45 points for that dunk which was a true foul line dunk as opposed to some of the prior ones including the one by Julius Erving a lot of years ago that was a full step in front of the foul line.

The Slam Dunk contest was a popularity match but in the 3-Point Competition that happened only before the Slam Dunk match, skill won out.  James Jones pulled off NBA betting upset as he defeated Ray Allen in the final.
