Is Your Husband or Wife Actually That Terrible?
The choice of getting a divorce is a serious matter. If affects not only the people getting divorced but also family members, including children if the couple has them. While no marriage is perfect, some are better than others, that is for sure.
The choice is normally more harder if the person you are considering leaving, is a good person. If your spouse has bad habits, such as drug and alcohol addiction, then this decision is easier. In addition, if you’ve been abused by your husband or wife, or he or she has a shady character that results in them committing crimes, then the choice is a lot simpler. For this type of scenario, it is best to obtain a divorce without a lot of dwelling on it.
The hardest choice is when your mate is a nice person. Maybe you can’t identify specific problems with your spouse but you still find them irritating. Therefore this decision is most difficult when your believe your spouse is a decent human being. You should reconsider your decision when your only reason for leaving your spouse is that you are being annoyed by them, or that they just don’t do it for you anymore.
None of us are perfect, and all of us have our own quirks, so living another person can be difficult. Every marriage has its ups and downs. People today seem to expect their spouse to be super human, to provide for them and to entertain them at all the time and to smell good all the time. This is unrealistic.
Unless your marriage is horrible and your spouse is horrible you should just stay in the marriage and not get divorced. You should probably lower your standards and be grateful that there is someone willing to listen to you and sty with you, because you are probably annoying too and you arent going to get much better than what youve got right now. Try to see the good in your spouse instead of all their little annoying habits.
In the event that you divorce, it could be something you’ll always regret. You may not have another mate, and might die by yourself. It is better to die with a spouse than to die alone, even if the spouse is annoying. Don’t forget the expression, that “a bird in hand is worth two in the bush”.
Plus, if your spouse is a decent person, you will live with the guilt of having broken their heart, or worse yet, you will live with regret because you can’t find anyone else to marry. The grass is not always greener on the other side, so its always easier to not get divorced. Sometimes, the grass is old and dried up.
