Yes marital discord can cause divorce if you let it. However, you have ways to fight through as a couple any type of marital discord you may come across. With commitment as a couple, anything that can come up will seem like smooth sailing.

If you were asked what is most important about a marriage, what is your answer? Love will be most people’s answers, however it should be communication. Without that ability to talk with each other a couple may not survive. Marital discord will need to be talked about, and worked out. So if you have a problem talking to your spouse, how will you ever tell them you are unhappy?

Not all people will feel that communication is the most important aspect of a relationship. It may even at times be more important than love. However, it’s the fact that anything you talk about your spouse will listen too, and you to them. That way if they feel unhappy, or a bit of marital discord, they feel safe at mentioning it to you.

So what will cause marital discord in a marriage? Many things, from sex, money, cars, girls, kids, or many other things. Depending on your situation it’s hard to say what could have brought a feeling of marital discord into your home. That’s why communication is so darn important, so your spouse will tell you instead of hiding the problems.

Not that all marital discord problems will be easy to fix, but if a couple does talk, they may not get to the point where the problems are tough ones. It may be something simple, like you don’t say sweet things anymore. Or you use to write notes, but you don’t know. Instead of are you cheating on me?

Though at times one of you may decide to cheat and that’s where jealousy can stem from. Maybe you’re too flirty and your spouse feels you are not interested in them. To show you are still in love with your spouse, that flirting nature should be controlled. Flirt with your spouse instead; show them you still love them.

Many couples who have been together a long time will stop saying I love you. Or they will not let their spouse know they still find them hot and attractive. These lack of feelings may lead you spouse to look for those compliments from others. Don’t let this happen, it may lead to further problems of cheating.

Finally, marital discord can be experience even by the closest couple in the world. It may not be something that is serious, but they have the tools they need to get past the problems. It’s those couples who think marriage is all roses and they will never have a problem. They need to realize that yes even they will experience a tinge of marital discord here and there. But all they need to do is work past it together. Move on and learn from past mistakes.
